AREAS OF SERVICE

Our knowledgeable crew members stay up to date with the most current technology and equipment. Our strength lies with our resources we deliver for our clients with accuracy, competence & cost-effectiveness.

Excavation

Excavation Construction requires having a crew with experience, skill, and detail-oriented as this type of construction deals with large structures and creates the foundation for the entire project. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concert LLC. uses advanced techniques, tools and heavy machinery to make sure that the job is done right. It is important to hire the right company with the right knowledge to complete an excavation project as this will produce the best results.

Land Clearing

Land clearing is the process of removing trees, stumps, bushes, rocks and any obstacles from the area in order to be able to make use of the land for development. Many times, this is combined with the excavation process in order to get the land ready for its specific needs. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concert LLC. has a professional crew that is experienced in clearing land and will leave the land clear and ready for your project to be started.

Earthwork

Earth Work is the process of shaping, moving, removing, processing, or bring in soil to prepare the building site for construction. This can also include road construction, rail beds, causeways, etc. Earth Work can also be land grading to reconfigure the structure of the site or to stabilize slopes. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concrete LLC. is experienced in earthwork for all forms of building projects and will expertly reconfigure and stabilize the topography of the site to specifications.

Storm Drainage

It is important to have proper storm drainage in the areas where we frequently have flooding and heavy rains. The process of developing drainage systems requires a collaborative effort amongst project owners, design engineers, and storm drain contractors. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concrete LLC. has the crew with the knowledge necessary to produce a valuable product that detour excess rain and groundwater to municipal systems and catch basins.

Road Construction

Roads built today are constructed using asphalt and/or concrete. There are many phases that relate to road construction Setting Out, Earthworks, and Paving. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concrete LLC. is experienced in all phase of road construction process. We have the crew with all the right skill set needed. When needing a road paved you need a trusted partner that can get the job done right.

Curb & Gutter

Curb and gutter systems are positioned on each side of a road to catch water runoff and direct it to the nearest storm drainage. We use a modern casting method to create a light but heavy-duty curb and gutter systems that are made together in one casting. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concrete LLC. is skilled in all areas of curbs and their designs. Our crew is very knowledgeable in the process of excavation form setting and concrete pouring to achieve your project’s goals on time and within specifications.

Soil Stabilization

Soil stabilization alters building site soil to improve durability and strength, enhancing their physical properties. This can increase the shear strength of the soil and/or control the shrinking-swell properties of soil thus improving the load-bearing capacity of the sub-grade to support pavement and foundations. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concrete LLC. uses several techniques to stabilize soil including compaction, dewatering, adding cement stabilization, lime stabilization, and chemical injection

Erosion Control

During the construction process, we prevent wind and water erosion on the building site and adjacent areas to prevent water pollution, habitat damage or loss and soil loss. We use a variety of methods at every phase of the project to mitigate or eliminate sediment runoff and erosion.

Mass Pour Concrete

Our experts understand the ins and outs of doing a mass pour. If not performed correctly, large-scale concrete pours can result in cracking, thermal stress, deleterious chemical reactions, reduced strength, and instability in variable temperatures. Our crew is knowledgeable about typical mass pour problems and leverage the latest industry information to mitigate risks.

Retaining Walls

Retaining walls are structures designed to restrain soil to a slope that it would not naturally keep to. They are often used in areas of terrain that possess an undesirable slope or in areas where the landscape needs to be shaped severely. Our experts are very well educated on the different types of retaining walls and, when and where each should be used.

Vertical & Shear Walls

Shear wall is a vertical element of a seismic force-resisting system that is designed to resist in-plane lateral forces, typically wind and seismic loads. Resists loads parallel to the plane of the wall. Collectors, also known as drag members, transfer the diaphragm shear to shear walls and other vertical elements of the seismic force-resisting system. Shear walls are typically light-framed or braced wooden walls with shear panels, reinforced concrete walls, reinforced masonry walls, or steel plates.

Elevated Slabs

It is important to have proper storm drainage in the areas where we frequently have flooding and heavy rains. The process of developing drainage systems requires a collaborative effort amongst project owners, design engineers, and storm drain contractors. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concrete LLC. has the crew with the knowledge necessary to produce a valuable product that detour excess rain and groundwater to municipal systems and catch basins.

Concrete Pavement

Roads built today are constructed using asphalt and/or concrete. There are many phrases that relate to road construction setting out, earthworks, and paving. Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework & Concrete LLC. is experienced in all phases of the road construction process. We have the crew with all the right skill sets needed. When needing a road paved you need a trusted partner that can get the job done right.

Tilt Walls

Tilt-Up or tilt-wall-slab is a construction method in which concrete elements (walls, columns, etc.) are formed horizontally on a concrete slab, cured, then “tilted” to a vertical position and braced into place until the remaining structural components ( such as roofs, intermediate floors, and walls) are secured.

Sanitary Sewer

Sanitary sewer is a type of sewer design that provides an enclosed and underground system designed to carry various types of sewage away from domestic and industrial locations. This type of system often works in tandem with other systems like storm drains that provide a means of eliminating excess water from city streets.

Electrical Duct bank

Duct banks are groups of conduits designed to protect and consolidate cabling to and from buildings. In a duct bank, data and electrical cables are laid out within PVC conduits that are bundled together, these grouping of conduits are protected by concrete and metal casings.

Water Line Installation

Water pipelines are the lifeblood of our communities, Darkhorse Utilities, Sitework and Concrete is an industry leader in water pipeline construction, with comprehensive planning and pipeline contractor services. We specialize in Commercial, industrial, institutional and municipal water installation systems.

Force Main

A Force Main is a pressurized sewer pipe that conveys wastewater in a situation where gravity sewage flow is not possible. Pumps or compressors push the sewage through the force main from lower to higher elevations or across landscapes where deep excavation is not feasible.
